Public sector web accessibility
Helping the public sector improve online accessibility for everyone.
Making accessibility regulations more accessible
Publishing digital content that's accessible to everyone is a legal duty in the public sector, but the regulations can be confusing and, well, inaccessible.
We can help you understand the regulations and recommend simple solutions to improve your immediate and long term compliance.
Audit your website
Regulators say that public sector bodies should audit their websites every 12 months to help improve compliance. Our 3-day compliance audit measures performance against the latest accessibility criteria.
Fix your PDFs
If you need to fix non-compliant content but don't know where to start, we can help. We can fix breaches in your PDFs or other non-HTML documents.

GDS compliance audits

The Government Digital Service (GDS) is responsible for monitoring compliance with accessibility regulations in the public sector.
GDS carries out random compliance tests on public sector websites and has the power to refer non-compliant organisations to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) for breach of the Equality Act.
